EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, participated in the “In the Name of Man” event, organized by the Authority for the Files to mark International Human Rights Day. He reaffirmed the EU’s support for Albania’s efforts to address the atrocities of the communist regime and uphold human rights as a foundation for its EU integration.

Gonzato stressed the importance of justice, memory, and accountability in honoring the victims and fostering reconciliation. He also emphasized the EU’s continued commitment to Albania’s transitional justice process, collaborating with key institutions to ensure truth and justice for the families of the disappeared.
