EU4Culture trains tourism operators to promote Albania’s cultural monuments

As part of the EU4Culture project, a specialized training tour is being organized to help tourism operators and guides improve how they present Albania’s cultural heritage sites. The tour, titled “Arbër’s Triad”, aims to enhance cultural storytelling through an immersive itinerary.
The event, set to take place on May 15, will include three key historical sites: the Church of Shna’ Ndou at Cape of Rodon (not to be confused with the pilgrimage church of St. Anthony in Laç, this medieval church on Cape Rodon is also dedicated to the same saint), the medieval Church of the Monastery Assembly in Rubik, and the Kuçaj Bridge in Kruja. Designed as an integrated route, the tour provides participants with both cultural and natural experiences.
The initiative is supported by the EU4Culture programme, funded by the EU and implemented by UNOPS in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation.
Participants, ranging from tour operators and cultural guides to tourism professionals, will receive a comprehensive package containing historical and cultural information, along with methodological guidelines on how to present these heritage sites in the most engaging and tourist-friendly way.
This effort is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Albania’s cultural tourism offer and improve heritage promotion skills across the sector.
