TIRANA, February 25 – During her official visit to Prishtinë, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali met with Kosova Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu.

They discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation to advance their shared strategic objectives.

Spiropali said that joint sessions of the Albanian and Kosovan Assemblies represent the highest expression of their commitment to act according to the law, with responsibility and a common vision. She shared this in a social media post.

The ministers also discussed deepening cooperation and the responsibilities arising from their shared history.

They highlighted the recent adoption of resolutions by both Assemblies in support of former KLA leaders currently on trial at the Special Chambers.

Spiropali emphasized that justice must be fair. She said the struggle for Kosova’s freedom cannot be relativized and that the dignity of those who led that fight forms part of their national conscience. She stressed that this remains a shared responsibility between the two countries.
