TIRANA, 10 March 2026 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met European Commission Vice-President and European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Brussels.

In a post on the social platform X, Hoxha reaffirmed Albania’s full alignment with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. He said the stance reflects Albania’s strong commitment to shared European principles and responsibilities.

Hoxha described Albania as a reliable European Union partner that actively supports regional stability and European security. He also stressed the need to maintain strong engagement in support of peace, democracy, and the rules-based international order as wars, conflicts, and hybrid threats challenge global security.

In addition, Hoxha highlighted the second year of the Albania–European Union Security and Defense Partnership. He said the framework strengthens dialogue and practical cooperation to support Europe’s strategic resilience and defense capabilities.

Hoxha added that Albania, as a committed member of NATO and a candidate for European Union membership, stands ready to contribute further to collective security through stronger capacities, crisis management support, and greater resilience.

Kallas praised Albania for its full alignment with European Union foreign policy, noting that this makes the country a serious ally for the Union.
