TIRANA, January 3 – Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali today declared Albania’s support alongside the United States and the President of the United States in what she described as decisive actions against Venezuela’s narco-terrorist regime and President Nicolas Maduro.

She said the Venezuelan people have an undeniable right to freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. Spiropali stressed that the international community should not remain silent in the face of repression and fear.

The foreign minister also voiced support for the strong leadership of United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio in confronting authoritarianism, corruption, and transnational criminal networks.

Spiropali added that Albania, as a steadfast ally of the United States and a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, stands side by side with American leadership in defending democratic principles and global security.
