The fifth meeting of the Steering Committee for the French Lycée project in Korçë took place at the Korçë Prefecture.

Prefect Nertil Jole announced the participants. The French Ambassador to Albania, Catherine Suard, attended the meeting. So did Pierre Raynaud, the French Embassy’s Advisor for Cooperation and Culture. French government expert Jérôme Lebars also joined. He is currently assigned to the Korçë Prefecture to closely follow the lycée project.

“The Prefecture is supporting the French expert and assisting the process directly,” said Prefect Jole in a social media post. “We are ensuring the help and cooperation of both national and local institutions.”

The project’s progress will be presented during the European Political Community Summit. This event will take place in Tirana on May 16, with European leaders attending. Prime Minister Rama and French President Macron will receive the update.

This project continues the strong friendship between Albania and France. It will open new opportunities for young people in Korçë and beyond. After graduating from the French Lycée, students can choose elite schools for their further education.
