The exhibition “Mountains, Clouds and White Plis” will open tomorrow at Gjirokastër Castle. The exhibition features works by well-known Gjirokastër painter Bashkim Ahmeti Izano.

The exhibition marks the International Museum Day celebrations in Albania. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports supported the project together with cultural institutions and the Municipality of Gjirokastër.

Minister Blendi Gonxhja said the exhibition presents an artistic world filled with symbolism, tradition, and emotion.

Curator Artan Shabani organized the exhibition. Visitors can explore it until August 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00.

From May 18 to 24, museums, archaeological parks, and cultural heritage sites across Albania will join Museum Week 2026. The program includes exhibitions, guided tours, artistic performances, and educational activities.

Museum Week 2026 invites citizens and tourists to rediscover Albania’s cultural heritage, history, and identity.
