Gjirokastër Castle continues to attract many local and international tourists. Visitors from around the world, as well as Albanians from different regions, stop here to explore its history, architecture, and unique views.

One tourist said, “I really like the castle. The view from the top is amazing. It is a place you must visit.” Another visitor added, “It is our first time in Gjirokastër. We are very impressed. We would recommend it to everyone.”

Meanwhile, Ardis Duka, Director of DRTK, highlighted the growing number of visitors. He said that around 11,500 tourists have visited since January. In addition, work continues to improve conditions and promote the castle further.

He noted, “During this period, there were about 11,500 visitors. This is a significant number. We continue preparations while maintaining safety.”

As a result, Gjirokastër Castle remains a key cultural tourism destination. It attracts thousands of visitors each year. Moreover, it contributes significantly to the local economy.
