Albanian craftsmanship is making its mark globally, thanks to artisans from Shkodra who create Venetian masks that travel from Shkodra to Venice, Rio de Janeiro, and even Hollywood.

Blendi Gonxhja, Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, shared on social media that these handcrafted masks, made using traditional methods, preserve a valuable heritage while showcasing Albanian artistry on the international stage.

“Crafted by Shkodran artisans, the Venetian masks from ‘Venice Art Mask Factory’ journey from Shkodra to Venice, Rio de Janeiro, and Hollywood, representing a success story and a passion for the art of mask-making,” said Gonxhja.

“These handcrafted masterpieces are more than just masks – they are a living testament to a unique heritage, where Albanian craftsmanship meets global elegance,” he added.

The Minister emphasized that this is a powerful example of the creativity and skill of Albania’s artisans reaching the world stage.
