The Marubi Phototheque was established in 1970, and in May 2016, the “Marubi” National Museum of Photography was inaugurated with the collections of the phototheque. Today, it is considered one of the most unique museums in Europe.
The museum houses a rare collection of approximately 500,000 negatives in various techniques and formats, as well as photographic equipment, diverse documents, and portraits of Albanian photographers.
