Guinness Record and Fair: Himara Kicks Off Tourist Season

As part of the opening of the tourist season, a series of events were held, including a special activity at 9:00 AM, where world record holder Agim Agushi, known for his Guinness World Records, once again made history in Himarë. Agushi set his 16th world record for juggling a ball with his head while wearing 14 shirts in a space of only 1 m².
During his performance in the city center, Agushi successfully earned the world certificate, leaving a remarkable impression on Himarë.
“This is my 16th record, achieved in Himarë, in a discipline requested by the Guinness World Records in London, where I wore 14 shirts while juggling a ball and staying within a 1 m² area. From now on, Himarë will be in the Guinness Book of World Records. I will bring the certificate with Himarë’s name to the mayor,” said Agim Agushi.
The mayor of Himarë, Vangjel Tavo, expressed his delight that Agushi chose Himarë for this remarkable feat, kicking off the tourism season on a high note.
“I am thrilled for myself and Himarë. This will not just be Agim’s record, but Agim Agushi’s record in Himarë,” said Vangjel Tavo.
Agim Agushi, a holder of multiple Guinness World Records in free disciplines, has surpassed Polish athlete Dariusz Kolodziczyk in several events.
In addition, Mayor Tavo visited the “Flavors, Art, and Tradition” exhibition set up in the heart of Himarë.
The opening fairs of the season present local products, handicrafts, and a vibrant display of colors that reflect the spirit of the south, Tavo added in a social media post.
