Helidon Haliti opens his new solo exhibition “Mish dhie” this week. It takes place in Tirana.

The exhibition explores prejudice and perception. It uses a conceptual approach. Moreover, it starts from a personal event. However, it expands into a wider social reflection.

Sixteen years ago, a simple family accident caused public doubt. A bruised eye became “evidence.” As a result, people built their own narrative. The truth stayed simple. However, perception proved stronger.

Therefore, the exhibition reflects on the tension between the individual and collective judgment. It uses symbolic and figurative elements to express this idea.

In the first photo series, titled “Prejudice,” a rotten apple appears next to a portrait. It does not show personal guilt. Instead, it symbolizes the decay of thinking.

In addition, the exhibition features Diellë as curator. This brings a unique perspective.

The exhibition opens from March 25 to April 3. It is supported by Municipality of Tirana, University of Arts Tirana, and FAB Gallery.
