The National Library hosted the launch of the Albanian translation of “Light Play” by the renowned Austrian-German writer Daniel Kehlmann.

The event took the form of an inspiring dialogue between the author and his Albanian translator, Anna Kove. This was the writer’s first visit to Albania. He is one of the most important voices in contemporary European and international literature. His works, translated into dozens of languages, build bridges between cultures. They offer a distinct approach to history, identity, and human imagination.

“A conversation that not only illuminated Kehlmann’s creative universe, but also showed that literature is a shared space for reflection and dialogue,” the National Library of Albania wrote on its official page. The institution also thanked all those who contributed to bringing such a distinguished author closer to Albanian readers.
