National Museum of Photography “Marubi” Sees 17.3% Increase in Visitors in 2024

The National Museum of Photography “Marubi” has announced a record 22,534 visitors in 2024, its most successful year since opening. This growth, a 17.3% increase over 2023, reflects the impact of a contemporary program. Albanians accounted for 33% of the visitors, with significant numbers from France (11.2%), Italy (9.5%), Germany (8.7%), and the UK (5.4%).

Looking ahead to 2025, the museum plans further innovations in photography. Currently, it hosts the “Eveningside” exhibition by acclaimed photographer Gregory Crewdson.

The museum continues to honor the legacy of the “Foto-Studio Marubbi,” founded in 1856 by Italian photographer Pietro Marubbi in Shkodër, and enriched by three generations of photographers.
