National Theatre and Migjeni Theatre Bring “A Tenor is Required” to Shkodra

A co-production between the National Theatre and the “Migjeni” Theatre of Shkodra will bring the comedy “Kërkohet një Tenor” to audiences, directed by Armand Bora.

Kërkohet një Tenor will have its premiere on the evening of April 25th in Shkodra. The comedy, originally titled Lend Me a Tenor, was written by Ken Ludwig. It first premiered in West End (1986) and Broadway (1989), earning nine Tony Award nominations. The play won Best Actor (Philip Bosco) and Best Director (Jerry Zaks).

Lend Me a Tenor has been translated into 17 languages and performed in 25 countries. The play is set in 1934, in a hotel suite in Cleveland, Ohio. The title is a pun on “Lend me a tenner,” referring to a ten-dollar bill, which plays into the word “tenor.”

The artists promise that this will be a performance not to be missed.
