National Theatre Marks 80 Years of Artistic Legacy

As the National Theatre approaches its 80th anniversary, Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, shared a message online to mark the occasion.

“For eight decades, the National Theatre has kept the spirit of art alive,” he wrote. “It has trained generations of actors, directors, playwrights, set designers, and creators. Their performances have left a deep mark on the public’s memory.”

Minister Gonxhja thanked all those who helped build and support the theatre. He praised their passion, dedication, and professionalism.

He stressed that this history should not only be celebrated but also supported and strengthened. He promised better conditions for artists. He also pledged to promote contemporary creativity and keep the theatre a lively, open, and dynamic space.

“Eighty years later,” he said, “our duty is to build the future of this institution with the same passion that built its past.”
