TIRANA, May 25 – The Film Festival “Art Screen” returns to Shkodër for its ninth edition. The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport said the event will take place from 27 to 31 May.

The festival focuses on cinematography, video art, and visual culture. It carries the theme “Little by Little”. The concept encourages reflection on time, creativity, and the fast flow of modern information, according to Minister Blendi Gonxhja. He said the theme invites audiences to value slowing down even in a fast-paced environment.

At the same time, organizers said the festival will take place across multiple locations in Shkodër. These include Kinema Republika, Art House, and the Franciscan Auditorium. The city will also open cafés and private courtyards for festival activities. The programme includes film screenings, exhibitions, and music events. For the first time, it also includes a Critical Writing Workshop in cooperation with DokuFest, mentored by Elsa Demo.
