Poland Opens the Fourth Season of International Cultural Weeks in Albania

After three successful editions, the International Cultural Weeks return for a fourth season. This year, Poland kicks off the program with its first participation.
From April 14 to 19, Tirana and other cities will host a vibrant display of Polish culture. The opening event begins at 7:00 PM on April 14 with the Polish Song and Dance Ensemble “Silesia.” They’ll perform traditional dances and invite the audience to join a spontaneous “Polonaise.” Polish dance instructors will also lead a workshop at the University of Arts.
Award-winning author and illustrator Monika Filipina will host children’s art workshops and meet with the public at the House of Europe to share her creative process. Two Polish films, Papusza and Birds Are Singing in Kigali, will be screened, followed by a discussion with director Joanna Kos-Krauze.
Polish volleyball coaches will hold training sessions for Albanian youth, leading to a final match with the Albanian Volleyball Federation. The week wraps up with concerts by the Polish jazz group JAH Trio as part of the International Jazz Festival.
With 20 participating countries, the program brings cultural experiences across Albania. Tirana, as the 2025 Mediterranean Capital of Culture, enhances the celebration. The International Cultural Weeks have just begun, and the adventure continues.
