Polish Cultural Week Kicks Off in Tirana with Vibrant Performances

The “Silesianie” group, which has performed in around 800 concerts worldwide and participated in over 80 international folklore festivals, performed last night in Tirana as part of the Polish Cultural Week.
The performance, with free entry for all art lovers, took place at Reja. The Polish group, dressed in colorful traditional costumes, performed Polish dances, including the “Polonaise,” which is part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage.
In collaboration with the National Ensemble of Songs and Dances of Albania, the “Silesianie” group taught the audience to perform the “Trojak” dance. They also introduced the magic of traditional Albanian dances.
During the Polish Cultural Week (April 14 – 19), Tirana and beyond will transform into an open stage to showcase Polish culture in various forms and colors.
This is the first time Poland has participated in the International Cultural Weeks. Polish artists will stay in Albania until April 19. Citizens will experience days filled with activities that speak to sensitivity, tradition, and cultural curiosity, creating a warm atmosphere of hospitality and exchange.
This is the fourth edition of the International Cultural Weeks.
