The National Book and Reading Center (QKLL) held discussions today with the Italian Cultural Institute to outline joint initiatives for 2025.

The meeting was attended by QKLL Director Alda Bardhyli and Italian Cultural Institute Director Alessandro Ruggera. Key topics included the establishment of a joint fund to support Albanian translators of Italian literature, creating residency programs for translators, promoting Italian authors’ works in Albanian, and providing support for publishers.

The year 2025 will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passing of Pier Paolo Pasolini, a towering figure in Italian culture. Together with the Italian Cultural Institute, QKLL will celebrate Pasolini’s legacy through a series of events honoring his contributions as a poet, writer, filmmaker, playwright, and journalist.
