Surge in Visitors at Geroge Kastrioti Skanderbeg Museum During November Celebrations

National Museum “George Kastrioti Skanderbeg” in Kruja has seen a notable increase in visitors this November, coinciding with the festivities marking November 28 and 29. Approximately 10,000 people have visited the museum since the start of the month.

The majority of the visitors in November have been school groups from various regions of Albania, who came to learn more about the history of the Albanian people, with a particular focus on the national hero, George Kastrioti Skanderbeg.

The museum complex in Kruja has also seen strong attendance throughout the year. From January to October, around 160,000 local and international visitors explored the National Museum George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the Ethnographic Museum, and the historic Kruja Bazaar.

The National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” is one of the most visited museums in Albania. Located within the ruins of Kruja Castle, the museum opened in 1982.

Designed as a medieval Albanian fortress, museum is dedicated to the life and opera of George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, the country’s national hero. Over the years, it has become major attraction for both domestic and international visitors.
