TIFF with a new visual identity in the 2024 edition

After several months of work, the Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) has unveiled the final version of its new visual identity for its 22nd edition.
The poster was conceived and executed by Babak Safari, a doctoral student in the field of Fine Arts and Art Conservation at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. The poster’s creator has over 13 years of professional experience as an artistic director and independent graphic designer, collaborating with countries such as the USA, Italy, Poland, Germany, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Greece, and the UK. His works have been presented or valued at over 70 biennials, festivals, and international exhibitions.
The official poster of TIFF 2024, with the new slogan “looks simple, stays complex,” blends art and technology in an artistic manner. It depicts a hand intertwined with a film camera, symbolizing the fusion of human creativity and new technologies.
Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey,” the use of red and blue colors helps balance provocation and trust: red symbolizes energy and enthusiasm, while blue conveys calmness and confidence.
The festival’s slogan, “looks simple, stays complex,” speaks to the dual nature of films: they appear straightforward at first glance but contain complex layers of messages.
Both the slogan and the visual design remind the audience that the festival’s films are not only visually appealing but also rich in depth and meaning.
The artistic and conceptual approach of this poster invites viewers to explore the complex and creative realm of films. It skillfully conveys the festival’s message and emphasizes the importance of artificial intelligence in the future of filmmaking art.
