TIRANA, February 17 – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Kosova on its 18th independence anniversary.

In a message published on the official State Department website, Rubio said that the United States remains steadfast in supporting Kosova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He added that the US looks forward to expanding economic ties that will increase prosperity for both nations.

Rubio acknowledged Kosova’s support for US efforts to address global challenges.

He welcomed Kosova’s leadership as a Founding Member of the Peace Board.

Rubio stated that as Kosova marks this important anniversary, the United States anticipates even stronger cooperation in the years ahead and will continue supporting Kosova as it builds a secure and prosperous future.
