“Wonders of Albania” shown on the BBC Channel 4

The natural and historical beauties of Albania continue to attract the attention of the international media.
BBC Channel 4 has broadcast a report on the treasures of the land that promotes Albania as a tourist destination.
Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro shared today footage from the filming in Albania of Bettany Hughes, who during this weekend broadcast on the BBC Channel 4 for millions of viewers “Wonders of Albania”.
“Bettany will return to Tirana again to take part in the FESTA Forum that we are organizing on April 3-5,” informs Kumbaro.
Hughes invited tourists to explore the beauties of Albania, from the stunning ancient cities, to the archeology of the early Middle Ages, from the remains of the Ottoman rule architecture to the brutal communist bunkers.
Foreign visitors in February 2023 have increased by 54% compared to last February, while for the first two months of this year, over 686 thousand foreign visitors visited Albania, or 74% more than the same period in 2022.
Albania is rich in natural beauty, such as mountain landscapes and stunning coasts, which are often found in the most prestigious guides and magazines in the world. But, apart from these, a special place is increasingly being occupied by cultural tourism, where the numerous museums and forts throughout Albania are attracting an ever-increasing number of local and foreign visitors.
