“We’re from Italy, touring Albania. It’s beautiful with great tourist potential, and the people are very friendly. We came to see the Byzantine and icon art museum and were very impressed. I recommend everyone to visit,” said another visitor.
“This is our first time in Albania. We came to Korça, then we’ll visit Berat, Gjirokastër, and end with a week in Saranda by the sea. We chose to see this museum first because it’s the most important in Albania for icons. A mix of culture and recreation,” noted a tourist.
The museum offers audio guides in English, French, Ukrainian, and Albanian, with Spanish guides currently being developed. The National Museum of Medieval Art in Korça boasts a rich collection of 8,000 items, including 6,500 icons with exceptional historical and cultural value.
