Labe Fest: Celebrating Folklore in Kotë village of Vlora

The Labe music festival, a celebration of this unique element of our heritage, will take place over three days in the village of Kotë. The event, organized by the Municipality of Selenicë, aims to showcase the finest values of the region through this beautiful music.
Ten folklore groups will perform during the festival, featuring traditional polyphonic songs from the Lab region, which is recognized by UNESCO for its cultural significance.
The festival will include 17 competitive groups and 5 invited ones, as detailed by artistic director Sejmen Gjokoli, who encourages everyone to participate.
“This festival mobilizes all polyphonic groups of Lab music. We expect 17 competitive groups and 5 invited groups to take the stage,” said Gjokoli.
Labe music, as a spiritual treasure of our nation, embodies the spirit of the Albanian people and serves as a passport of our identity.
Events like this are vital for keeping the passion for Lab music alive among younger generations.
Taking place at the height of the tourist season, the festival is expected to attract not only local spectators but also international visitors who are passionate about Albanian culture and art.
