The Himara International Music Festival, is taking place from August 18 to 22, and promises to be an unforgettable experience with artists from across Europe.

“Under the feet of the centuries-old castle, amidst ancient stones and lightning-split mountains, a natural stage was created to say ‘Music Echoes,’” Minister Gonxhja wrote on social media.

The Himara International Music Festival began as a musical project where everyone can experience their favorite music. The festival held its first edition in 2022. The Himara Festival offers a rich menu of traditional genres such as classical music, tango, jazz, and chanson, performed by experienced musicians. Previous performances were held in an intimate space between old houses and the Church of All Saints in Himara village. This edition will primarily take place in one of the town hall’s halls, with activities also in Old Himara, near the castle.

In addition to instrumentalists, this year will feature a group of polyphonic artists.

The festival aims to grow in the spirit of societal development, based on the best cultural heritage and international musical traditions to which we are inextricably linked.
