Wine Festival in Berat Brings Together Tradition and Friends from Kosovo and the Arbëresh Community

Berat has become a meeting point for wine, tradition and Albanian culture. The fifth edition of the “Wine & Stories” Festival has brought together hundreds of local and foreign visitors.

The festival has also brought together Albanian wineries, producers from Kosovo and representatives of Italy’s Arbëresh community. Together, they have highlighted the cultural ties that connect Albanians across the region and beyond.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared footage from the event on social media. He has highlighted the participation of Albanian and Kosovar wineries, as well as members of the Arbëresh community in Italy.

“Berat’s Wine Festival is a beautiful example: Albanian wines, tradition and friends from Kosovo and the Arbëresh community, all coming together around an identity that creates value. More local identity. More local economy. More Albania to discover,” Rama wrote.

The “Wine & Stories” Festival has attracted hundreds of visitors. Guests have tasted quality Albanian wines, enjoyed music and watched artistic performances. They have also heard stories that bring the history of Berat, the museum city, to life.

The festival aims to promote Albanian wine and Berat’s cultural heritage. It also supports experience-based tourism and agritourism in the area. In addition, the event contributes to the local economy by attracting visitors and promoting local producers.

Through wine, culture and shared heritage, the festival continues to present Berat as a destination where tradition meets tourism. It also creates a space for Albanian communities from Kosovo, Italy and Albania to celebrate their common identity.
