The Academy of Sciences of Albania has announced a call for participation in the International Scientific Conference titled “Development of National Education and the Albanian Language.”

This call invites scientific contributions, with proposals to be submitted directly to the scientific-organizing committee or the Academy of Sciences. The conference is scheduled to take place in November at the Alphabet Museum in Bitola, North Macedonia.

The conference is part of the commemorative activities for the anniversary of the historic Congress of Bitola and the official celebration of the Albanian language in North Macedonia.

The year 2024 has been declared the “Year of the Albanian Language” in Albania, with November 22, the last day of the Congress of Bitola, set to be officially recognized as the Albanian Language Day.

During the event, the Academy of Sciences will present publicly and comprehensively the major scientific project for the “Great Albanian Dictionary” for the first time in Tirana.

The Academy of Sciences of Albania is a co-organizer of the event, while the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of the Albanians in North Macedonia and the Agency for the Implementation of Bilingualism are the hosts and main organizers, with participation from several universities in Albania and North Macedonia.
