Porto Palermo Festival Returns for Its Fourth Edition with 12 Magical Nights
This summer, the Porto Palermo Festival, founded by violinist Olen Çesari, returns for its fourth edition, featuring 12 artists across 12 enchanting evenings. The festival, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, will take place at the historic Porto Palermo Castle from August 1 to 18, with performances scheduled from Thursday to Sunday.
“Experience the fantastic performances by renowned names in music and acclaimed Albanian artists at the Porto Palermo Castle,” Minister Gonxhja shared on social media, promoting the event.
The festival promises to showcase some of the most prominent figures in contemporary Albanian music, including returning artists such as Elina Duni and Eda Zari. Also featured will be the celebrated Albanian classical music star Inva Mula, along with singers like Marsela Çibukaj, Vitmar Basha, and Dren Abazi. International performers such as Manuela Villa and Lavinia Mancusi will also grace the stage. Olen Çesari, the festival’s founder, will perform on the penultimate night with his violin.
Last year’s edition saw performances not only within the castle walls but also in the open-air setting of Himara, a feature that organizers plan to continue as a new tradition.
The Porto Palermo Festival aims to highlight top-tier artists while promoting sustainable cultural tourism in Albania.
