The documentary on Bekim Fehmiu is being featured at the Sarajevo Film Festival

The documentary *Bekim Fehmiu*, directed by Valmir Tertini and produced by the film production house CINEMANIA, and financed by the National Center of Cinematography, is premiering out of competition at the Sarajevo Film Festival.

The documentary features two exclusive interviews with Bekim Fehmiu’s wife, Branka Petriç Fehmiu, and includes memories and narratives from other prominent figures in the arts.

This documentary has previously premiered in Tirana and Kosovo and has been screened in several other countries where it was filmed.

Bekim Fehmiu was the first Albanian actor in film and theater to achieve success across the entire former Yugoslavia, leaving a significant mark on Balkan cinema and beyond. He remains one of the most distinguished figures in Albanian cinema.

In the official competition for the “Heart of Sarajevo” award are films by Albanian authors from Kosovo: *Rrugës*, a short film by Samir Karahoda, and *Si e Verdhë e Sëmurë*, a short documentary by Norika Sefa, supported by the Kosovo Cinematography Center.

The National Center of Cinematography extends its best wishes to the Albanian participants at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
