Zdrale Neighborhood Adds to Shkodër’s Tourism Offer

The 300-year-old Zdrale neighborhood in Shkodër, one of the city’s most historic areas, has been transformed.
First, the project, launched by Shkodër Municipality in 2024, turned the area into a new commercial, social, and tourist destination. It adds significant value to the city’s tourism offerings.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a photo album of Zdrale on social media today. He described the neighborhood as another example of urban revitalization.
The project cost €2.5 million. It upgraded streets, building facades, shops, and windows, preserving the historic character.
Now, Zdrale serves as a pedestrian area. Local businesses follow a unified color scheme and design, enhancing the neighborhood’s aesthetic appeal.
